WorkWeek looks at the betrayal of railway workers by President Biden, the Democrats, the AFL-CIO president Liz Schuler and other union officials.This past week President Biden, Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh and the Democrats and Republicans in Congress passed a bill under the Labor Railway Act ordering workers to accept a contract the majority of workers had voted against. WorkWeek talks with Los Angeles Roofers Local 36 Business Manager about the role of AFL-CIO president Liz Schuler who claimed this was an agreement accepted by workers.

Erek Slater who has been fired by management and is running for president of the union.
Erek Slater, a 17 year bus driver and member of ATU 241 transit local has been fired by management for reading the statement of his union about why Transit workers should not be required to carry police during the Black lives matter struggle.
He has recently been arrested while trying to campaign at bus barns and also threatened physically by union officials. We talked to him and his lawyer Nick Krietman about his election and the assault on his democratic rights.
