UCS(Union of Concerned Scientists) article highlights Big Lie on N. Korea's nuclear aims

The Catalyst interview with Dr. Jeff Lewis of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program at the Center for Nonproliferation Studies, contained a number of informative facts on the DPRK's nuclear capabilities. However, the article chose to highlight the following fallacious Statement, "The fundamental problem is that North Korea is afraid of being invaded and there is nothing we can do or say that will make them believe us."

Excuse me?!!

For starters--without even resorting to hyperboles--the article omitted a few of the most relevant facts" on the issue:
1) The U.S. is the only country that has ever dropped nuclear weapons(and on civilian cities at
that!) in the history of the world.
2) The U.S. blatantly used the fraudulent Big Lie of Iraq's nonexistent nuclear WMDs to invade
and occupy that country, in complete contravention of the UN Charter.
3) There are literally hundreds of U.S. military bases surrounding the Korean Peninsula, while
the DPRK has exactly ZERO foreign military base and has never invaded any foreign land.
4) Most tellingly, Washington has repeatedly rebuffed DPRK's sincere efforts to end the 70-
year-old Korean War via a formal Peace Treaty of all the warring parties.

Hence, it is absolutely incumbent upon the UCS Board to prominently and publicly retract that totally erroneous highlighted Statement which continues to mislead the Public as to the true threat to a peaceful resolution of the admittedly complicated Korean nuclear dilemma.
