She was targeted on May 11 by Israeli police while she was covering the attack on a Palestinian family in the occupied
West Bank. The Israeli government first blamed Palestinians but video footage showed that Israeli police had murdered
her while doing her job as a journalist.
On May 14, 2022, hundreds joined together in the San Francisco Mission District to speak out about these attacks.
