The US wages war on peoples all over the world. Right now, the US is providing tactical support in the war on Yemen, consistently sends out drone strikes, and has boots on the ground in over 80 countries.
These facts are abhorrent. Many people who have witnessed or heard about these crimes speak out against them. In order to prevent any sort of popular resistance, the US must obfuscate the true horrors of the war. To do so, the US State suppresses the truth and attacks anyone willing to speak out against the nature of imperialism.
The US's treatment of politcial prisoners like Mumia, Assange, and Cheslea Manning reveals the nature of imperialism. Those in power will stop at nothing in the pursuit of profit and those who tell the truth are persecuted. Join us for a discussion on the nature of political prisoners and the State's contempt for the truth.
