On December 14, the San Francisco Board of Education voted 6 to 1 to cut $50 million from the classroom budget as part of a plan to close a $125 million deficit. This cutback will devastate our schools and communities. But there is a growing movement to oppose these cuts.
Join us to talk about this crisis in public education in one of the richest cities in the country, and learn how we can all fight back.
Featured speakers:
*Frank Lara - Vice President, United Educators of San Francisco
*Nathalie Hrizi - Vice President of Substitutes, UESF
*Meghann Adams - President, SMART Local 1741, school bus drivers union
