Resources/Programs for Homeless in Sonoma County

by Adriana Torrres
In Sonoma County there are more than 2,700 people who are homeless. Homeless individuals are unique, and resources and programs should be a fit for every individual.
Homelessness is on the rise even with resources and programs; however, these resources and programs fall short and not all programs are fit for everyone. Homeless individuals are unique, and resources and programs should be a fit for every individual. Sonoma County should have a better approach when it comes to ending homelessness and be able to provide helpful programs that are stable for every individual who is faced with homelessness.
Implementing policies, and holding a realistic budget are some starting strategies to help homeless individuals overcome this ongoing homeless state. Specifically in Sonoma County there are more than 2,700 people who are homeless. Homeless is not a lifestyle, as a community we need to acknowledge the lack of resources for the homeless community. As members of society, we must generously accept homeless individuals and welcome them into the community instead of isolating them.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
