Jewel, musician, songwriter, and 4-time Grammy nominee, joins us to perform and to discuss her own childhood and her challenges with homelessness and poverty. Her resilience and personal growth process are an inspiration for all of us who struggle to grow up and grow stronger.

Katie Albright, CEO of Safe & Sound and Gatanya Arnic, ED of the Center for Youth Wellness (CYW) and Chief Strategy Officer of Safe & Sound, are in conversation regarding the 2021 agreement to join Safe & Sound and CYW together as one organization to serve families and children in San Francisco. As children and families continue to face the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the accompanying economic downturn, and racial injustice, joining together as one organization ensures a holistic response to the critical and dynamic needs of our community during this unprecedented time.

Family Resource Center Alliance Spotlight The Family Resource Center (FRC) Alliance, with Safe & Sound acting as its backbone, is spotlighted as a body of 26 FRCs that work to provide crucial support to thousands of parents, caregivers, and children. The work of Safe & Sound, FRCs, and the FRC Alliance will be critical as San Francisco prepares to recover from the pandemic which has brought severe economic impact resulting in job loss, learning loss for children, and increased mental health challenges. In the coming months and years, FRCs will be called upon to advocate for families and support them in surviving the severe impacts of COVID-19 and confronting systemic racism and social inequities laid bare by the pandemic.

Free - $100,000.
