MARILYN NELSON, a three-time finalist for the National Book Award, is one of America’s most celebrated poets. She is the author or translator of seventeen poetry books for adults and children, five chapbooks, and in 2014 she published a memoir, named one of NPR’s Best Books of 2014, entitled How I Discovered Poetry. Her critically acclaimed books for young adults include A Wreath for Emmett Till.

ANTOINETTE BRIM-BELL is the author of three collections of poetry: These Women You Gave Me, Icarus in Love , and Psalm of the Sunflower. She is a Cave Canem Foundation fellow, a recipient of a Walker Foundation Scholarship to the Fine Arts Work Center, and a Pushcart Prize nominee. She is also a professor of English, a noted printmaker and collage artist.
