2019 Cal Tax Table and Most Tax Forms Not Online

For 2019, unlike all previous years, we have to Email the Franchise Tax Board for the California Tax Table and most tax forms, except the 540, because they are not online. We cannot complete the 540 without this crucial table. The Email cannot be read or downloaded on many computers so one must then look to the email on your cell phone and get the magnifier to highlight the line you need for your tax due. This insanity and inefficiency is brought to us by Democratic Gov Newsom and his supermajority Democratic legislature.

Before 1995, and for a few years thereafter, we could obtain all tax forms at the post office, which included the tax tables in the instructions. California’s income tax started in 1971. As bad as Nazi Trump’s IRS is, we can obtain all forms and the tax table on the IRS website, as usual. We can only assume this insanity exists because the early filers are most likely the workingclass, those of us who can prepare our tax forms because we do not own property or a business, and thus do not have to pay a tax preparer. The Democrats are apparently promoting the private profit tax preparers.

The governor and the state legislature need to be reminded that we are their employer. It is we have to pay around 5% state income tax, 8.5% regressive sales tax and all kinds of other regressive state taxes, such as the gasoline tax.

This lunacy is yet one more reason why you should change your registration to Peace & Freedom or Green. There is really no excuse for this contempt on the part of the Democrats currently in power in California. As to this year’s November 2020 election, those of us who are registered Peace & Freedom or Green will never, ever pay the insulting, downward spiral “lesser evil” game the Democrats always promote because they despise the democracy of having many parties on the ballot.
