John Curl, poet and author will read and sign his latest book, The Outlaws of Maroon, an adult novel about the world of children in McCarthy-era New York City. He is one of the founders of Indigenous Peoples Day, and is an organizer of the Berkeley Pow Wow. He has a degree in Comparative Literature from CCNY (CUNY), is a member of the San Francisco Poets Brigade, and was a longtime board member of PEN Oakland.
