Campaign Legal Center exposed Rudy Giuliani’s indicted associates

As the battle over the impeachment inquiry heats up, the Republicans are conducting a three-ring circus to distract the American public. A three-ring circus meant to distract the American public from the allegations and mounting evidence revealing that President Donald J. Trump and his attorney Rudy Giuliani may have unlawfully pressured the Ukraine to investigate presidential candidate Joe Biden for political reasons.

It was on Wednesday October 9, 2019, that two of Rudy Giuliani’s indicted associates (Ukrainian-Americans) were arrested at an airport while they were apparently trying to flee the country after being accused of violating campaign finance laws.

The arrests of Rudy Giuliani’s indicted associates Igor Fruman and Lev Parnas, were the result of the great investigative activities of the Campaign Legal Center (CLC), based in Washington D.C.

According to an October 10, 2019 release from the CLC, in part it reads, “Two Ukrainian-Americans who had been working with President Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, on Ukrainian matters, were arrested late Wednesday for violating campaign finance laws. These arrests stemmed from a Campaign Legal Center (CLC) complaint.

In July 2018, CLC uncovered how these two men had laundered a six-figure contribution to President Trump’s super PAC through a shell corporation, and filed a formal complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). The DOJ indictment says Igor Fruman and Lev Parnas had pushed for the removal of the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine and that those efforts “were conducted, at least in part, at the request of one or more Ukrainian government officials.” Also, Fruman and Parnas introduced Giuliani to current and former Ukrainian prosecutors to discuss an investigation into Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

CLC uncovered these secret donations and flagged them for the authorities last summer. We are pleased that federal law enforcement has conducted an investigation into these campaign finance crimes and made these two arrests. The public is now learning just how dangerous dark money can be in U.S. elections, including the potential for illegal foreign funds, which DOJ says were used here. The fact that these two individuals were working with Giuliani and Ukrainian government officials to alter U.S. policy in that country will obviously be relevant to the impeachment investigation.” End quote:

Rudy Giuliani’s indicted associates Igor Fruman and Lev Parnas:

According to an October 10, 2019 release from the Department of Justice (DOJ), in part it reads, “PARNAS and FRUMAN were arrested yesterday evening at Washington Dulles International Airport and will be presented at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael S. Nachmanoff in the Eastern District of Virginia.”

After the arrest of Igor Fruman on October 9, 2019, according to a report by CNN on November 1, 2019, “A federal judge denied an associate of Rudy Giuliani's request to lift house arrest and GPS monitoring as part of his bail condition at a hearing Friday. Prosecutors also signaled the brother of Igor Fruman, who's accused of funneling foreign money to US campaign coffers, "could be involved" in the alleged campaign finance scheme.”

Trump has repeatedly denied knowing Rudy Giuliani’s other indicted associate named Lev Parnas. However, according to a different report by CNN on November 1, 2019, Parnas can be seen in a video at a Trump rally in Nevada where Parnas waves at the president, and it appears that the president waved back. Parnas was sitting behind Trump in the VIP section of the rally and according to reports it appeared that Parnas was wearing a VIP badge.

Despite the numerous photos that were taken with the Trump/s and Rudy Giuliani’s indicted associates, the president repeatedly has denied knowing the indicted associates of Rudy Giuliani.

Meanwhile, the Republicans are conducting a three-ring circus meant to distract the American public from the allegations and mounting evidence revealing that President Donald J. Holding Trump Accountable for Legal Violations Involving Ukraine

CLC filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) about a top donor to a pro-Trump super PAC after discovering evidence that a Russian-speaking Ukrainian businessman named Igor Fruman and a Russian-born businessman named Lev Parnas may have created Global Energy Producers, LLC as a shell corporation for the purpose of anonymously funneling six figures to the super PAC.

On June 20, 2019, Campaign Legal Center (CLC) filed a supplement to its original FEC complaint after additional facts came to light.

On October 9, 2019, Fruman and Parnas were arrested on criminal campaign finance charges, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York filed an indictment that stemmed from CLC's complaint.
