American Independence was all about land: the walking tour

Malcolm X put it this way about all liberation revolutions: "Revolution is based on land. Land is the basis of all independence. Land is the basis of freedom, justice, and equality."

Come along on a walking tour nominally surveying San Francisco social justice movements, evolving into an exploration of Malcolm X's assertion. On this proximately Fourth of July weekend, slurp up a tall, cool, draught of "40 acres and a mule," the Liberty Bell's eponymous invocation of land, the "inside story" about the Bay Region's housing challenges, native American reparations, and the deep, shanked issue of Occupy Wall Street.
