Award-winning non-profit BOSS hosts rising stars event for 6th straight year. The event will celebrate adolescents that are doing well in school and taking care of themselves and their families while overcoming multiple hardships - such as homelessness, substance abuse, criminal justice involvement, and other challenges.

For six straight years, BOSS has hosted a Youth Leadership Gala which celebrates young people who are working hard to stay in school and take care of themselves and their families while overcoming multiple hardships - such as homelessness, substance abuse, criminal justice involvement, and other challenges. The BOSS 6th Annual Rising Stars Youth Leadership Gala will shower these youth with recognition and accolades, gifts, support and love from the community!

BOSS (Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency), is a Bay Area non-profit that works to help homeless, poor and disabled people achieve health and self-sufficiency, and to fight against the root causes of poverty and homelessness.

The mission of this event is meant in great spirit and so is the entertainment that will accompany it. On May 31st 2019, the awards program will include food, a silent auction, and music with a performance by the Berkeley High Jazz Ensemble!
