Music is the universal language and culture is what makes us human. This is his response to Nazi Trump who is clearly the worst, most uncultured president in memory. This does not absolve the Democrats, who are the twins of the Republicans on domestic and foreign policy most of the time, but it says a lot about what kind of country this is where 62 million people would even think to vote for someone who spent his entire campaign uttering viciously anti-immigrant and racist language. Nazi Trump still has a 39% job approval rating, reminding us that the rich put their money before culture.

Classical music artists do speak out when possible. Another example is pianist-conductor Daniel Barenboim, with whom Yo-Yo Ma performs, with his West Eastern Divan Orchestra made up of Palestinians, Israelis and others. US-tax funded Israel is busy building walls to steal Palestinian land. That, and other horrors of Israel are explored by Argentinian native of Holocaust survivor parents who moved to Israel when Daniel Barenboim was a child, are seen in the following DVD. See
DVD-Warner Classics: The Ramallah Concert: Knowledge Is The Beginning with West-Eastern Divan Orchestra conducted by Daniel Barenboim. Ramallah Concert program: Mozart Sinfonia, Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, Elgar’s Nimrod from Enigma Variations. Orchestra consists of young Jewish Israelis and Arabs of many countries, including Palestine, plus some Europeans.
