A film showing and discussion.
A film showcasing the history of the Chicano movement as it emerged in Colorado and Northern New Mexico. The film focuses on the struggle for land, the student movement and community struggles against Police repression. These struggles still form the heart of our struggle for national liberation. The film commemorates 9 individuals from the Chicano Mexicano movement for self-determination and national liberation, whose lives were cut short at an early age. More than just a commemorative nostalgic overview, this presentation discussion is a continuing call to action, to resist the on-going colonization of our people and the on-going occupation of our homeland. We will ask for monetary donations for on going legal defense.
