Denver teachers are out on strike. Oakland teachers as of this posting are considering a strike. Kentucky and Oklahoma teachers struck last year.

Public education is the target of those bent on privatization of the entirety of community. The objective is segregationist in effect (consigning lower income households to increasingly more poorly funded schools) even if that is not the ostensible objective of privateers.

Come along on a walking tour that by way of surveying social movements in fact explores a social philosophy prizing well-funded public education and that proposes historically sound curative legislation.

FREE but intellectually challenging.
