Yes, the tech sector is responsible in large measure for driving up San Francisco rents, but don't blame the kids, tax the landlords!
Come along on a celebrated (and free) walking tour surveying San Francisco social movement history, leading up to introducing you to SF's 1879 Big Idea proposal to tax away as public revenue the "location, location, location" value of land, and to use that revenue for public infrastructure and services . . . fare-free MUNI and City College, well-funded public schools, rent cross-subsidies for lower income households, elimination of the regressive sales tax, etc.
The Occupy Movement hinted at it. The Immigrants' Rights Movements bangs down Trump's wall for it, but you have to demand it.
Free, but it'll put your liberal and/or conservative presuppositions in a dither! Not for political voyeurs; but for creative, determined political voyageurs!
