Union workers are seeing the impact of walking picket lines in the last several months in the Bay Area. Faced with austerity, wage cuts, and theft of benefits and pensions, the unionists turned to labor’s strongest weapon to defend both their rights and the public services they provide. Speakers will spark a discussion by giving first-hand accounts of the strikes, lessons learned, and the next steps for the labor movement.

Doors open at 6pm. Door donation $2-5. Light supper available for $7. For childcare or work exchanges contact us in advance.

Hosted by Freedom Socialist Party.
