From forbidding trans youth to use bathrooms matching their gender identity to banning trans people in the military, transphobia is rampant. The Trump administration is waging an all-out assault on transgender people.
Despite this, transgender youth are joining with immigrant advocates and unions to defend equality for all gender nonconforming people. Their militancy harkens back to the Stonewall Rebellion that sparked the modern LGBTQ movement. What will it take to end transphobia and the system of discrimination used to keep nearly everyone down? Kristina Lee, Transgender rights advocate, queer Black and Chinese American feminist and antifascist activist will make a brief presentation before discussion. Doors open at 6pm, Discussion 6:30pm Door donation $2-5, Light supper available for $7 Hosted by Freedom Socialist Party. For childcare or work exchange call or email. # # # ![]()
