Just how earnest are you about claiming the Earth is the birthright of all people? Earnest enough to abjure all private property right in the economic value of the material universe not refashioned by people?
What would Earth Day look like if the whole of annual land value (the value of "location, location, location") were collected as public revenue? The Vermilion Club recasts your relationship to Earth Day for an hour and a half as Dalck Teblehei reads from "17 Ways to Lower the Price of Read Estate" and Christian Ogg reads from "A San Francisco Bestiary" and you read from ?????? at this year's SF Earth Day festival. Look for the The Commons SF banner or the edu-fictional "Leon Phat 4 SF Mayor" sign, and bring your own five minute or so piece of geo-economic writing to share. The Vermilion Club is San Francisco's premier (and only) writer's group dedicated to acerbic, sorbetic, sybaritic political fiction. Monetary rewards may be doled out, campaigns conceived, and truth serums rendered at this event. Make fun, don't be nasty. Excavate, don't evacuate. * * from the club's MANIFESTO For more event information: http://www.LeonPhat.com
