Skyline Church is excited to announce that Oakland's Mayor Libby Schaff is joining us for our annual Earth Day Service this Sunday! We will worship together and share our hopes and dreams for a healthy environment for all of Oakland, and our planet earth. She'll be with us from 10 - 12, with time devoted after the service until 12 for conversation with her. The good news is that for the 1st time, virtually all the nations of the world have agreed--climate change is real, and people are causing it. The bad news is that our nation's leaders are failing as stewards of the earth in the name of short term profits. Yet California, one of the largest economies in the world, is taking bold action. Recognizing that we are connected with all of creation, we seek to partner together for the healing of the earth, especially locally. Join us Sunday for a powerful service.
