On March 30th, join us to hear from a diverse panel of women who are making a difference in today’s political and social worlds. The discussion will focus on the triumphs and struggles of the modern women’s movements and aims to elevate the voices of women who have been traditionally excluded from the mainstream feminist narrative. This event will occur at the Peace and Justice Center (48 South 7th Street, downtown San José) on March 30th from 7 to 9pm. It is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome.

Panelists include:
- Ketzal Gomez, a Chicana community organizer who has been involved in social justice issues for over a decade and currently works for Santa Clara County’s Office of Women’s Policy

-Jocelin Hernandez, a tenant’s rights activist representing Serve the People San Jose.

-Sally Gwin Satterlee, a retired Registered Nurse, member of the California Nursing Association, and patient advocate who has been working to get Single Payer/Improved Medicare for All for over 15 years.

- Nube Brown of California Prison Focus, a human rights activist and New Abolitionist to end prison slavery through public awareness.

Donations of gently used clothes are greatly appreciated but by no means necessary. These donations will benefit women through onRoute22, “a passionate group in Silicon Valley on a mission to end poverty for women by restoring dignity and hope.”

This event is cosponsored by the San José Peace and Justice Center, the Santa Clara County Peace and Freedom Party, Code Pink, onRoute22, and LGBTQ Wellness.
