Beyond the Bomb SF has big news -- the San Francisco Board of Supervisors will discuss a resolution condemning Trump’s nuclear recklessness and voicing our city’s support for legislation restricting the president’s unchecked nuclear authority. Supervisor Katy Tang will introduce the resolution on Tuesday, March 13 at the board’s meeting. Will you join us to voice your support for this resolution?
If our resolution passes, San Francisco will add its name to a growing list of cities and organizations, like Boulder, CO, Santa Fe, NM, and SFSU’s student union, demanding check on ANY president's authority to launch a nuclear attack.
This is also a great chance to add to the momentum behind a resolution being considered by California state legislators. Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry has introduced a joint resolution calling for Congress to rein in the President’s nuclear authority, and it’s already gaining traction -- SF can help get this emergency resolution to Governor Brown’s desk!
Now is the time to speak up against nuclear violence. Stand in solidarity with those promoting the resolution during public comment, or voice your support yourself!
PLEASE WEAR SOMETHING YELLOW IF YOU CAN =)
