Court Support Breakfast Rally for Aunti Frances

Aunti Frances' landlords have still not dropped the eviction. On FEBRUARY 21ST AT 8AM Aunti Frances goes to her first settlement negotiation with the Morphys, and we're going too! We need to show that our communities support Aunti Frances in fighting her eviction.

Show up to the court steps, share breakfast and join us to #DefendAuntiFrances. On this morning, as we share food together in the tradition of the Self-Help Hunger Program, we will also invite the Morphys to break bread with our community and to come to the negotiation table in good faith.

This event is at the Hayward Hall of Justice, which is 1.2 miles from Hayward Bart. Please comment below to coordinate carpools. We are coordinating volunteers to help with this effort. Please also comment if you are able to offer rides.

Aunti Frances is a beloved Black disabled activist, elder, Black Panther and community leader who has lived in North Oakland/South Berkeley her entire life. She now faces a no-fault eviction by a notorious loophole in Oakland renter protections.

Our mission is to convince Aunti Frances' landlords, Natalia Morphy and Morphy’s parents, to end the eviction proceedings and instead support Aunti Frances in staying in her community. We need as much community support as possible to insist that the Morphys drop this eviction. We aren't going anywhere, because you can't evict community power!
