The theme for the 7th annual conference is "Addressing Racism". It provides an opportunity to explore how we can use our school and classroom practices to identify and address subtle and overt elements of racism. Breakout sessions on a variety of topics will focus on sharing learning strategies and skills and will be relevant to elementary and secondary educators, school personnel and students.

Keynote Speaker is Alyson Reimer, of Haas Institute at UC Berkeley, Building the Beloved Community: Addressing Racism Inside the Classroom and Out.

Breakout sessions focus on sharing learning strategies and developing greater empathy.

Topics include but are not limited to:
Neuroscience of Racism, Creating Equitable Schools through PBIS, SEL and Mindfulness, Building Connections, Diversity Education, Racism in Special Education, Combating Racism in the Classroom, Emotional Regulation, Applying a Systems View to School Culture.

The conference is for everyone who works with children in grades K-12: parents, teachers, administrators, classroom aides, school personnel and students.

Morning refreshments and a catered lunch are included. Register online. CEUs will be available for an additional fee.

$50 per person / $40 Center members / $10 high-school and college students.
