WHERE: E Nees Ave & N Fresno St, Fresno 93720, Gather at the corner of Nees and Fresno
DATE & TIME: January 20, 2018 @ 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On January 20, 2018, Women's March Fresno will gather at the corner of Nees and Fresno for the kick off rally. There is a lot there where our speakers and kick off will take place.
Then we will March West on Nees to Blackstone then South to El Paso, and make a loop back up to Nees.
Women's March Fresno expresses our commitment to building a positive and just future for all, and to celebrate the spirit of resistance efforts over the past year. This march is designed to engage and empower all people to support women's rights, human rights, social and environmental justice, and to encourage participation in 2018 midterm elections. HEAR OUR VOTE!
This will be one of many worldwide events honoring the movement that brought out 5 million marchers on January 21, 2017, in what has been called the largest single-day demonstration in U.S. history.
This is a non-partisan and peaceful event. People will unite in every state and major metropolitan areas to stand with us in solidarity for the American values we represent.
ABOUT WOMEN’S MARCH FRESNO:
The mission of Women’s March CA (WMCA) is to harness the political power of diverse women and their communities to create transformative social change.
Women’s March is a women-led movement providing intersectional education on a range of issues and creating entry points for new grassroots activists & organizers to engage with/in their local communities through training, outreach programs, and events.
The events of 2017 have led the lead organizers of the WMCA to focus 2018 on voter education, voter outreach, and voter empowerment, all encompassed in the message for this year- Hear Our Vote.
WMCA is part of a national movement to unify and empower everyone who stands for women’s rights, human rights, civil liberties, and social justice for all.
