Excerpts of a film about Japanese survivors of atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima: "Hibakusha".
This will be followed by a presentation by Sharat G. Lin on the brewing nuclear confrontation between the U.S. and North Korea, and the revival of unilateral U.S. sanctions against Iran. The talk will provide background on the thresholds to "going nuclear," how nuclear safeguards work, and the perspectives of each nation.
Potluck at 6 pm.
Film and presentation at 7 pm.
