All year 'round, but a specially bright light thought in the Northern Hemispshere's darkest season, Earth IS home to all people. In the later times words words ascribed to Christmas's central figure, "The meek shall inherit the earth," yet the promise of universal renewal and liberation which is the objective story of the Christ advent runs counter to the imperial, necessary logic of privatization of land.
Join a walking tour that revisits the Xmas renewal story, taking stock of the aggressively potent assertion that all people are equally entitled to Creation's opportunities. The walk surveys San Francisco social movement history, exploring the hypothesis that the struggle for opportunity in geography, AKA equality in access to nature, is the sine qua non of a just society.
FREE, secular, but arrestingly challenging of typical progressive, lib-lab dismissiveness of the cosmic.
