The disgraced landlord of Alameda, Don Lindsey, who claims he is trying to save Alameda from progressives, has a restricted brokers real estate license, and is affiliated with the right-wing radical group of landlords and realtors, known as Alamedans In Charge.
Alamedans In Charge is a so-called coalition of rental property owners, homeowners, and businesses for fair and affordable housing. However, the group is anything but that. In essence, Alamedans In Charge is a group of greedy right-wing extremist landlords and realtors that are hellbent on making sure that the renters in Alameda are stripped of their renter protections granted to them by the City of Alameda.
Documents filed in Alameda by Alamedans In Charge list their contact phone number as (510) 652-1000 which is the phone number for the Henry Levy Group in Oakland. Lisa Fowler of Alameda who works for disgraced landlord Don Lindsey, is listed as the treasurer for Alamedans In Charge. Additional public records reveal that Lisa Fowler is listed as the Chief Financial Officer for Gallagher & Lindsey Property Management INC., and that Don Lindsey is listed as CEO, and his wife Suzanne Lindsey is listed as Secretary of the company.
The Henry Levy Group located in Oakland is helping the notorious campaign of “Alamedans In Charge” in the effort to rollback the renter protections that exist in Alameda, and Henry C. Levy of Berkeley, is the founder and CPA of the Henry Levy Group.
Henry Levy has resided in Alameda County for 45 years, and has been a registered voter for as many years. He is active in the cannabis industry, and is a former Board Chair for KPFA radio during 1992-1997. In 2018 he wants to be appointed as the treasurer-tax collector for Alameda County.
Regarding the involvement of the Henry Levy Group with Alamedans In Charge, Stacey Owens leads the Henry Levy Group’s political treasury division.
In a recent letter from right-wing extremist disgraced landlord Don Lindsey, to the members of Alamedans In Charge, Lindsey is claiming that in addition to waging war on rent control, that their war is actually against the progressive community in Alameda.
In the same letter, right-wing extremist Don Lindsey is making a pitch for donors to contribute their money to the cause, and Lindsey writes: “Let us not put ourselves in the position of where the day after the 2018 election, we find that we have surrendered the City to Berkeley-Oakland style rent control and the election of people who want to put Alameda into the far left camp.”
The Alameda Sun did a story about the letter from disgraced landlord Don Lindsey to members of Alamedans In Charge as recent as November 9, 2017.
It appears to be a contradiction for the right-wing extremists of Alamedans In Charge to hook up with Henry C. Levy, and the Henry Levy Group, when considering the activities of Henry Levy with the cannabis industry.
During 2017, it appears that Alamedans In Charge have received $113,000 in campaign contributions during June of 2017, and reportedly the group spent $130,700 in the same period.
Some of the contributors to Alamedans In Charge include Charvet & Ku Properties out of Hillsborough, Dennis Cox, Driftwood Apartments, Camille Khazar of Alameda, Lanai Apartments, Park Central Apartments, Craig Roberts of Alameda, Marilyn Schumacher of Alameda, Shoreline Apartments, and Timber Dell Properties.
Some of the contributors to the California Apartment Association in 2017, in opposition to renter protections in Alameda include Jessie Williams of Renoir Staffing, Eclipse Property management, INC., Barad Family Trust, Renoir Staffing LLC, OMM INC./Mason Management, Berger Enterprises, Driftwood Apartments, The Wavecrest Apartments, The Lanai Apartments, Villa Marina Apartments, Park Central Apartments, William Sheehan/Property Management, Serenethos LLC, HRH Real Estate Services, and Niles Station Apartments.
Gregory Mc Connell of Danville, is a consultant for Alamedans In Charge.
Reportedly in recent months, many renters in Alameda complained about signature gatherers that lied as a way to trick people into signing a petition against just cause eviction protections in Alameda.

Hey, the Lindsley scandal in Alameda has been going on for years. My contact with their fraudulent rental agent offices began more than 6 years ago. That entire operation was corrupt from top to bottom.
There are some fine landlords in Alameda (typically living in their buildings, and who have nothing good to say about Lindsey or his scam organization).
Sadly Alameda, once a pleasant refuge or retirees, professionals and young families (after the Navy left- and took their scum--but left behind all their radioactive, carcinogenic and toxic waste and just SAID it was "cleaned up").
Well, Alameda is screwed. Greedy landowners, greedy developers, limp wristed city government, hydrophobic police and fire departments and encroaching Oakland "culture" are about to sink the island before global sea level rise does.

There is the reactionary right but the only radicals are the Radical Left. I really bothers me that we on the Left are blurring in lines on these terms. Getting sloppy and creating more confusion when we need to have more clarity!
