The Voting Rights Task Force invites you to its second annual "Take Back the Vote!" National Election Integrity Conference with 30 nationally recognized speakers from around the country  - researchers, activists, academics, and even local politicians - speaking about our elections, voting machines, problems and solutions.

You may ask: "Why attend or report on this event?"  This should be a great conference. Election integrity experts from around the country will be coming and speaking about their latest findings on voting machine vulnerabilities and other election problems, and will discuss what we can do to make our elections more secure, transparent and verifiable.  They will present a lot of information about which the vast majority of people know nothing. For example, John Brakey will be talking about his discovery that many of the newer voting machines create a digital copy of each ballot scanned, then use the digital copy to count the votes.  Arizona elections officials want to delete these images after the election.  John sued them to preserve those images and won that suit. With these images, we can then demand to get a copy of them and can then count the votes ourselves, using those images, to verify if the officials and machines are counting the votes correctly. Also, Bev Harris will report on the discovery made by a Memphis programmer, Benny Smith, of code within the GEMS software inside many of the election systems used nationwide: votes are counted to two decimal places!  Why would you need to count votes to two decimal places except for ease of manipulating the totals?  See some of her videos at http://www.blackboxvoting.org .  Here is one on Youtube, the short version entitled: "Fraction Magic ShortVersion at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ezmpqwVEnM . For more information, and to register, go to nvrtf.org.

We are asking for a minimal amount of $40 for both days, early-bird special before October 1, and $50 thereafter and at the door, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
