A theological take on Immigration/DACA: the walking tour

San Francisco

Without presuming that there is a God in heaven or not, consider that if we were constructing a God, meaning imputing to a cosmic creative agency desirable virtues, we would adore a Creator who provided individuals with brawn and brains capable of meeting reasonable life needs and wants, and who made the physical universe an equal opportunity to each and every person.

Come along on a walking tour nominally surveying San Francisco social movement history, but in fact, deep-down, arguing that the economic rent of the world is a social good, not a private asset.

The theological--or if you prefer, the life ethic--logic of such a position is that every immigrant, legally here or otherwise, has, in the instance of paying ground rent, in fact contributed to the community. That a private landlord has intercepted this social value is sacrilegious--or if you prefer, a civil crime.

Come along on a walk that opens a fresh and powerful approach to the immigration issues facing America and the world today.

Free, except for your current world view being shattered.
