Please join us! The venerable Dr. Geeta Mehta will relate the power of Gandhian nonviolence in turbulent times in India to the current moment in the U.S. She will share creative and successful uses of nonviolence action and strategies in India, and touch on her personal experience trekking with Vinoba Bhave, the spiritual heir of Mohandas Gandhi, during the India land-gift movement.
Dr. Mehta has practical as well theoretical knowledge about Gandhian philosophy. She is the former head of the Dept. of Philosophy, M.D. College and Director of Somaiya Jain Studies in Mumbai, India.
Suggested donation $ 7-15 sliding scale. No one turned away for lack of funds.
