The journey of an Israeli in Palestine is not a long one geographically, but it is a significant one emotionally, mentally and politically. Moving from one sphere to the other is difficult, it can be frightening and one finds himself in unchartered terrotory. This is true of the return journey as well, yet it is crucial to undertake this journey if one seeks to find common ground and peaceful co-existance.

About the Presenter:
Miko Peled is an Israeli-born writer and activist. Born to a prominent Zionist family which includes a grandfather who was a signer of the Israeli declaration of independence and a father who was a general in the Israeli army. After a 30-year career in teaching martial arts in California, Miko found himself confronted with the Israeli Palestinian issue in all of its horror: His 13-year-old niece was killed by Palestinians in a suicide attack in Jerusalem. This brought about a major shift that Miko describes in his 2012 memoir, "The General's Son, Journey of an Israeli in Palestine." Currently Miko is a full-time writer and activist working to promote justice and equality in Palestine.
