The BWOPA/TILE DWJ Fellows Solutions Talk is an issue forum which provides an opportunity for the fellows to showcase their learning and leadership around their chosen issue area.
During the course of their research-based presentations, the DWJ Public Policy Fellows will introduce solutions to a unique set of social issues and challenges faced by the African American community as well as other communities of color.
Each day, Californians are inundated with the fallout of unresolved social justice issues that plague our neighborhoods. All the while, community leaders struggle to identify safe and effective methods of resolving these problems amidst seemingly overwhelming obstacles.
Additionally, neglectful gaps in policy keep the most vulnerable among us from developing their true capacity to thrive and contribute to their communities. Thus, these timely presentations will both highlight innovative ideas and stimulate constructive dialogue for community-based solutions.
