SF Democrats Oppose Legal Marijuana

by Register Peace & Freedom or Green
The marijuana dispensaries in San Francisco being set up to comply with November 2016’s Proposition 64, which statewide won 57% of the vote and in San Francisco, the County which led as usual on this issue, with 74% of the vote, are being thwarted by the Democratic Party through its corporate, pro-police state mouthpieces on the Board of Supervisors, all Democrats.
See, “Dispensaries in Limbo as SF Weighs Moratorium Option” San Francisco Examiner, Sunday, August 6, 2017 by Michael Barba at http://www.sfexaminer.com/.

San Francisco County has led the state in supporting legal marijuana since Proposition 215 of 1996 when it received 76% of the vote. See http://elections.cdn.sos.ca.gov/sov/1996-general/ssov/measures-statewide.pdf

San Francisco is saturated with poisonous alcohol providers throughout the City, and in some areas, with several alcohol providers per block with no objection. Yet marijuana dispensaries are now threatened by the San Francisco Democratic Party.

This is the same Democratic Party which, through one of its leaders, San Francisco Congressperson Nancy Pelosi, supports treating abortion as a minor issue, and supports the war machine abroad, with nuclear brinkmanship and sanctions against Russia, North Korea and Iran, which war machine is also staunchly supported by the Republican Party. The Republican Party does not treat abortion as a minor issue; its party platform is explicitly anti-abortion, and its minions are picketing abortion clinics everywhere, including in San Francisco.

It is also the same Democratic Party, including Rep. Pelosi, which refuses to support HR 676, Improved Medicare for All, the only viable medical option. See https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/676/cosponsors.

Socialized medicine, such as Medicare for All, exists in the following countries:
All of Europe, Israel, Cuba, Canada, Venezuela, Chile, Costa Rica, China, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand.

All drugs should be legalized and available at all pharmacies. Legalizing drugs gets rid of the prison pipeline and the police state, and provides needed medicine. Until then, we have and need as many marijuana dispensaries as possible immediately to provide marijuana legally to alleviate pain without chemical side effects, make possible cancer treatments without nauseous side effects and achieve many more positive results.

Peace & Freedom & the Green Party support medical marijuana, Medicare for All, abortion, and peace. You can register online for either one of these 2 pro-peace, pro-labor, pro-environment parties at https://covr.sos.ca.gov/?language=en-US

Please call, fax or Email the entire Board of Supervisors to demand that they support the will of 74% of the voters (a landslide mandate). From: http://sfbos.org/roster-members
