Portrait of the Soviet Union
Part Three, the Caucasus
According to the LA Times (1988), "Portrait of the Soviet Union" may be Ted Turner's “crowning achievement,” “a seven-hour documentary of panoramic sweep,” surely “the most beautiful and comprehensive cultural history of old Russia and the Soviet Union ever to appear on American TV.” This is Part 3, covering the Caucasus region. (More to come.)
