In Observance of Panamanian Martyrs Day, Jan. 9th

Over the course of a few days, the protests were eventually put down by the violence of the police, Guardia National, and U.S. Army. Thousands of rounds of live ammunition were fired at protesters. A total of 28 people were killed and at least 340 were wounded, with most casualties by gunshot wound.
