Fidel Castro 1926-2016
by Que Viva La Revolucion Cubana
Friday Nov 25th, 2016 11:12 PM
This time it is true. The leader of La Primer Tierra Libre De Las Americas, the First Free Territory of the Americas, as Radio Havana Cuba describes Cuba, Fidel Castro, has died at age 90. The many previous announcements were the usual lies of the CIA which tried many times and failed to kill Fidel and destroy the Cuban Revolution.
The Cuban Revolution of January 1, 1959 made possible free healthcare and free education for all in Cuba, raising the standard of living of the Cuban workingclass to that of the industrialized world from abysmal poverty when it was a US colony. It now has 99% literacy, life expectancy of 76 for men and 80 for women, about the same as most of the industrialized world, and an infant mortality of 4.6 per 1,000 live births, about the same as Great Britain and better than the US' 5.9 per 1,000, all made possible by elimination of the private profit system and a planned economy that put the needs and interests of the workingclass first.

The tributes are just starting to come in. Here are a few:
Gloria LaRiva, the Peace & Freedom Party 2016 Presidential candidate:
Dear Comrade #FidelCastro has died. I can't begin to express the sorrow I feel about one of the greatest Revolutionaries who ever lived. (Russia Today)
