"On behalf of the Winnemem Wintu tribe, as Chief, I send you our support. We believe that “We are One” in the struggle to protect Mother Earth. We stand with you with the position you have taken as a nation, opposing the Dakota Access Pipeline." -- Chief Caleen Sisk
Today the Winnemem Wintu Tribe issued a statement supporting the Standing Rock Sioux Protectors who are opposing the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline along the Standing Rock reservation's border on the Cannonball River in North Dakota.
