“When we heal ourselves, we heal our ancestors before us, our community besides us and our future ahead.” - Luis Marroquin

The sacred four directions imbedded into our inna tribe. Inna tribe is the strength you manifest when you believe in yourself. It is that focused energy we rely on when hope is low. Inna Tribe is the confidence and self awareness needed to grow and flourish. Luis has channeled his inna tribe into his work.

Recycled skateboards are sculpted into visions of his Colombian ancestors. The mementos of friends and experiences are inlaid to the warm wood. Metallic pigments mixed with acrylic paint give the wood an ethereal glow. Molded painted plaster masks echo indigenous features and are adorned with bright patterns and found objects. Prints of the skateboards, similar to woodblock relief printing, are hand embellished with precious stones and resin.

Please join us in celebrating Luis’ work with a live performance from ASTRALOGIK. ASTRALOGIK is an ambient electric soul duo from the Bay Area. Because of their own eclectic taste in music you'll hear performances that include tinges of neo-soul, R&B, roots, hip-hop, electronic, world and indie.
They have performed for non-profit grassroots community organizations, festivals and events all over the Bay Area and are emerging artists from roots of struggle growth, love and awakening. In April 2015 they launched their first EP called “Dream Awake.” Behind each song is a journey, and remembering heart, engaging the mind and reinvigorating the belief in the ‘good things coming.’ Their goal is to spread their light to the masses through their vibrations of music.

A percentage of the sales will be donated to Community Well. Community Well is a welcoming center in San Francisco's Excelsior District for individuals & growing families of all backgrounds to connect with holistic services supporting overall wellness, early parenthood & a better quality of life.
