What happens to Red Diaper babies? Red Depends, my friends.
The labor movement is full of high-minded, solidarity-building folk seeking to raise wages (witness the call for a $15/hour national minimum wage); however, scratch the issue of socializing land values in order to end private equity in the land portion of real estate, and you'll discover that liberals, progressives, lefties, and otherwise labor-loving folk suddenly row the same boat as the conservatives they caricature and chastize. In other words, when it comes to socializing the whole of land values, being Red depends upon whether we're talking about land values.
Come hear Rip Snorter jab for 15 acerbic but funny minutes at the mendacity and inconsistency of the left in the matter of raising wages. Then you can add your own stand up.
