Join us for a film showing and discussion of Fruitvale Station

Powerful and passionate, Fruitvale Station (2013) portrays the last 24 hours in the life of Oscar Grant, age 22. Police grabbed Oscar and his friends off a packed train of New Years revelers. Oscar was unarmed, shot in the back at point blank range while lying face down on a subway platform in Oakland, California.Winner of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize for Dramatic Feature and the Audience Appreciation Award for a Dramatic Film in 2013. Starring Michael B. Jordan and directed by Ryan Coogler.

Fruitvale Station is a gut punch of a movie. By standing in solidarity with Oscar, it becomes an unstoppable cinematic force. --Peter Travers, Rolling Stone
