Long Haul Oral History Project: The history, struggle, and triumphs of Berkeley's Needle Exchange Emergency Distribution, founded in 1990 and one of the earliest street-level needle exchange programs.
Current and past NEED members will discuss the organization's transitions-- from the days of being illegal to its current status, as well as the role NEED has played in advancing harm reduction concepts and practices (often before they were well accepted).
