--

Four years ago in the Skagit Valley of Washington State, farmworkers formed the only independent union in the United States directed mainly by Mixtec and Triqui workers. Since then they have organized a vigorous boycott campaign against Driscoll’s, the world’s largest distributor of strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries.

This July 11 they will celebrate the 4-year anniversary of the day workers for Sakuma Brothers Farm walked out and formed Familias Unidas por la Justicia (FUJ), fighting for a union contract with Sakuma Farm, which hides its fruits under the Driscoll’s label.

Join us to keep demanding justice for these workers and for the workers in San Quintín, who are also mainly Mixtecs and Triquis, united in calling for a boycott of Driscoll’s until they obtain a union contract.
