Elections simply confirm the class struggle that has preceded them, if any. They do not make change.

The Democrat-Republicans, the twin parties of capitalism proudly promoting the same war and fascism agenda to benefit the profits of the capitalist class whom they serve, maximization of profit being the primary goal of the bankrupt social order in which we live, capitalism, always stage presidential elections down to the last detail as they cannot afford to leave anything to chance. Thus, the prearranged millionaire fascist war criminal winner of the presidency in this election, Democrat Hillary Clinton, was aided in voter turnout by the prearranged usual Democratic Party sheepdog in a primary with no Democratic party incumbent, warmonger Bernie Sanders, to make sure the workingclass votes Democrat instead of socialist (Red) or Green in November as that is the only reason the Democrats exist; there is no other need for 2 capitalist parties. For November’s general election, billionaire fascist warmonger, former Democrat for many years and contributor to the Democrats in thousands of dollars, Republican Donald Trump, is the prearranged bogeyman.

In November, it is now almost impossible for Republicans to win legally due to the Electoral College winner-take-all system in all states except Maine and Nebraska. For example, because California has a high Democratic Party registration, all Electoral College votes automatically go to the Democratic Party candidate, and the same is true of most states where a party has a large lead in registration. The Democratic Party’s strength is in most of the heavily populated states, so they easily win most of the Electoral College votes, of which 270 are needed to win the presidential election. In 2008 and 2012, Democrat Barack Obama barely won the popular vote, but easily won the Electoral College vote. See the 2012 Electoral College map at

The Electoral College, provided for in the US Constitution, consists of 538 electors, corresponding to 435 representatives, 100 senators and 3 for the District of Columbia. For more on this undemocratic institution, see

Whenever any elected official runs for office, it is mandatory that you read his or her voting record to decide whether or not to vote for that person. The pro-war and pro-police Senate voting record of Democrat Bernie Sanders is available to all. There have been many articles on his reactionary voting record, and one of the best is “Racist and Pro-War Bernie Sanders Is No Socialist and No Friend of the Working Class,” 8/11/15, by Steven Argue at

In California, a state of 39 million people in a country of 318 million people, there are 26 million citizen adults, so far 6 million ballots have been counted. The counting will continue for the next 28 days. This is a very high figure for a primary, which is usually around 5 million. The November presidential election usually has a turnout of 13 million, always the highest voter turnout, so this primary may come close to that figure. You can check the count, by county, at the County Reporting tab of the California Secretary of State’s website at http://vote.sos.ca.gov/returns/status/ The various statewide results are also listed and updated on the Secretary of State’s website.

You can see the historical voter turnout for the primary and general elections at http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/additional-elections-information/publications-and-resources

In San Francisco, a city of 864,000 residents, of whom 636,000 are citizen adults, so far 185,000 ballots have been counted. That figure will certainly increase in the next 28 days. This is a very high voter turnout for a primary election which is usually around 150,000. The November presidential general election is usually at least 230,000 to 350,000, and this primary election total may increase to somewhere in that range. You can check the count for both vote-by-mail and election day ballots and the various races broken down at http://www.sfelections.org/results/20160607/

The historical voter turnout for all San Francisco elections is at

In San Francisco, Proposition C, the Affordable Housing initiative, is passing with 67% voting yes, which hopefully will help alleviate the current housing emergency.

The Sheepdog Warmonger Democrat Sanders campaign caused a serious depletion of the membership of Peace & Freedom Party and the Green Party, the only 2 pro-labor, pro-peace and pro-environment parties on the California ballot since the presidential election is a closed primary and you had to be registered either Democrat or No Party Preference-Democrat to vote Democrat. See the April 8, 2016 60-day Report on Registration and the May 23, 2016 15-day Report on Registration at http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/voter-registration/voter-registration-statistics/

Since the general election allows you to vote for any candidate, you can and should change your registration to Peace & Freedom or Green now as they need your registration to stay on the ballot. Go online at https://covr.sos.ca.gov/?language=en-US
