From March 30 until April 1, representatives from Famlias Unidas por la Justicia, the independent farworkers' union in Washington State that started the Driscoll's berry boycott, will be visiting Santa Cruz County. They will be here to discuss the working and living conditions that berry pickers in the US and Mexico face and how residents of the area can support the boycott. The event in Barrios Unidos will include a panel + discussion, solidarity statements from local organizations, and a raffle to raise funds for FUJ.
