CFA CSU Eastbay faculty, staff and students picketed, rallied and spoke out on February 29, 2016 at a meeting with CSU Chancellor Timothy White who was speaking on the campus. White said his hands were tied and the 2% wage increase after years of cutbacks for faculty and staff was Governor Jerry Brown and the legislator's fault.
Teachers testified that they are unable to get healthcare and many cannot even pay back their student loans. The CFA is planning a 5 day strike of the entire 23 campuses and 25,000 members on April 15, 2016.
