The US gov't has given 2,400 acres of National Forest land to Resolution Copper, an Australian/British mining company, which will devastate this area with "block caving" mining method. It is sacred to Apache people. The San Carlos Apache Tribe and supporters are occupying the site, Oak Flat Campground in southeast Arizona. Protests are being held in many towns in solidarity. The march will begin at 9:00 am, and continue with rally, ending at 11:30 am.
