This event marks the anniversary of Executive Order 9066 signed by President Roosevelt which sent 120,000 Japanese Americans to incarceration sites. To commemorate this period of war hysteria, injustice, and the ultimately survival, courage, and the legacy of "Never again" the theme this year is "Days of ear, Years of Infamy. Join the Japanese American community for an afternoon of dance, music and solidarity with Muslims and Arabs. Program includes interpretive dance by Corrine Nagata, music by the Okinawan Kenji-kai, speakers--Reverend Ron Kobata, Zahra Billoo, and Reverend Michael Yoshii, and a candle light ceremony. It will be followed by a procession to the reception at the Japanese Community and Cultural Center of Northern California. FREE
