Google Bus Hearings

Date:
Tuesday, February 09, 2016
Time:
8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Event Type:
Conference
Organizer/Author:
Ron
Location Details:
San Francisco City Hall in both the hearing room and the City Hall Plaza

Recently the San Francisco Board of Supervisors revisited San Francisco's new Commuter Shuttle Program, which regulates commuter shuttles commonly known as "Google buses." The new legislation faced a massive out-cry, from the public opponents of the elitist shuttles. The Board decided to postpone this issue and revisit it on February 9, 2016, at San Francisco City Hall.

All members of the press and the public that oppose Google's and Facebook's privacy rape of the public, and their misogynist anti-women, Ageist and anti-black hiring practices, are asked to meet at San Francisco City Hall on February 9, 2016. Anti-Google advocates are encouraged to begin assembly in the City Hall Plaza beginning at 8AM that day.

These 8,000 or so, 1% of San Francisco's population, who insist on taking huge, heavy, polluting, city street damaging buses a 100-mile roundtrip to Mt. View from San Francisco, a 1 hour commute in light traffic, are only here because they can take over our rent-controlled apartments and due to lack of vacancy control, can pay higher rents. That is why the Google Buses must be abolished. We desperately need our rent-controlled housing for the workingclass of San Francisco. Mt. View and the rest of Santa Clara County have FAR MORE AMENITIES THAN SAN FRANCISCO. If they still insist on commuting, they should take the train from 4th and Townsend or carpool. Here are some of the amenities of Santa Clara County:
1. More sunshine than San Francisco
2. Santa Clara County overall:
1.7 million people. San Jose International Airport. Caltrain from SF to San Jose with a stop in Mt. View. Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority with buses and light rail.
